Before Anything Else (BAE)
We live in this world that seems so fragile of its own emotions. For the said reason, it becomes blinded of others' feelings. Some people, including myself choose not to show its sensitivity. For the world’s sensibility is already more than enough to fill the earth with tears.
I chose not to speak for I know how to seek comfort in the midst of despair.
I chose not to show how I feel for I know how to fill the emptiness inside.
I chose not to cry for I know who to rely in times of sorrow.
I chose to be strong for I know to whom I belong when I am weak.
Therefore, before you hated me; I have already hated you but I just didn’t speak.
For once, I have hurt you and you condemned me to death.
How crazy it is for I have never mentioned your mistakes, yet you cannot forget my unintentional wrong doings.
Before you told me I don’t care on how you feel or the people around me; I have already saw you in pain. I just don’t know how to comfort you. I felt you. I know how it feels. Bear with me if I cannot be the friend you want me to be when you’re in trouble as no one did for me when I was in your shoes.
Before you told me you drown yourself in tears at night; I have already done it. I saw myself in you. I cannot help to make you stop crying at night for I know it is just a battle within yourself. You gotta be brave to wipe your tears away on your own.
Before you told me you can no longer fight the battle; I have raised the white flag to show my defeat many times. However, numerous times I have also got up and fight as I know every battles I am not alone.
Before anything else, please bear in mind you are not alone in battlefield we called - life.
Things you complain are what other people thankful for.
Things that makes you happy are what other people makes them feel in pain for not having it.
Life you said you don’t deserve because you have less from what you have expected.. in reality, you have more than what you deserve. You just have to appreciate it! Before anything else, look around and see how blessed you are.
